Welcome To Harvest To Home’s First Meet & Greet!

In this edition of the HTH Blog, you’ll get to virtually meet the maker behind our Home Personal Chef Service! Additionally, I’m excited to give you a preview of some of the tasty and healthy ways Harvest to Home is bringing people together.

First, let me introduce myself:

My name is Jennifer Ward, and I am the Chef and Owner of Harvest to Home. It is a pleasure to meet you and to let you know about the multitude of culinary offerings and services we have.

This adventure first started with my dad in our home kitchen and turned into a cooking expertise and a strong interest in bringing fresh, locally produced food to customers. Little did I know these things would someday lead to the whirlwind of positive activity we have today.

Located in Colorado, Harvest to Home offers the ultimate in farm to table delivery and catering services. We have made it our mission to bring family and friends together, thereby enabling them to make memories and savor the flavors that come from our community.

We’ll touch more on the Farm to Table movement on our blog later. But for now, food lovers, here’s more about the Harvest to Home philosophy.

Farm to Table Goodness

Spring is all about light fare that celebrates renewal and fun. So, in the spirit of things, I am here to let you know that Harvest to Home wholeheartedly believes in the farm to table movement. I procure fresh ingredients for our dishes throughout Colorado using this direct relationship between farmer and cook.

I am always seeking to support local small business artisans and farmers who raise produce and livestock ethically. Doing so allows me to bring you the most delicious and sustainable dishes around.

Think of locally sourced greens, root vegetables, and squash from Brown’s Farm in Niwot, Bison from Rock River Bison in Commerce City, and mushrooms from Hazel Dell Mushrooms in Fort Collins, Wine from Bookcliff Vineyards in Boulder, CO, just to name a few.

And that just scratches the surface….

Variety changes throughout the seasons, based on the availability of ingredients. My quarterly menu changes to go along with the availability of items we can procure from our many sources.

Spring Highlights
My ever-changing menu has never been more in harmony with seasonality and sustainability. For April’s Meet & Greet, I am honoring the season by highlighting one of my mouthwatering classics: Shrimp Scampi.

This simple, yet elegant dish contains fresh tomatoes, garlic, parsley,
Blue Mountain Vineyard white wine sauce all over yummy chickpea pasta. Shrimp Scampi one of several tasty selections that are part of the menu on Harvest to Home’s Spring Meal Delivery Service. This month’s offerings also include Quinoa Stuffed Chicken, Smokey Chipotle Tri-Tip Steak, and more.

It’s not hard to imagine why customers are flocking for my locally sourced menu. Delicious food brings people from all walks of life together, and sitting down to enjoy a scrumptious, fresh dish of WOW is just what the doctor ordered.

Life is sort of wobbly right now, isn’t it? I believe that preparing simple, flavorsome dishes from scratch with the best possible ingredients gets everyone’s mind off such things. So, why don’t you let me do the cooking?

In a nutshell, it’s time to de-stress, unplug, and pamper yourself with a delicious meal that you can relish alone or with family and friends. Even better, you’ll be taking care of your nutritional needs at the same time, which is an important piece of maintaining a healthy immune system.

And, whether you enjoy our fare through my weekly meal service or our catering for that once-in-a-lifetime event, Harvest to Home can provide you with the loveliest and most memorable of experiences.
