When it comes to planning weddings and other special events, no matter the size, they can sometimes take on a life of their own. An event planner can help alleviate the stress that comes with the planning and organizing, but will still work WITH you to make it the best it can be. They are a key tool in helping bring that vision you see, to life, with as little stress as possible.
I was fortunate enough to meet and work with our next vendor on a photo shoot a few months ago. She has a big smile and sparkling personality. SHe was also a pleasure to work with.
Miranda Guerra is the owner of Roz Event Planning. She is also our next vendor showcase.
Here is a little bit from Miranda about who she is and her business.
Describe your business and what you do:
Rōz Event Planning is an event planning company servicing the state of Colorado and beyond. We provide a range of planning services for weddings, special occasions, and business events. Roz Events strives to inspire and celebrate our clients while providing a memorable and seamless event every time.
What inspired you to start your business as an Event Planner?
I am a daughter to entrepreneurs and have always dreamed of owning a small business. I have a Bachelor’s in Event & Meeting Management backed by years of experience and I decided it was time to make my dream come true.
Event Trends and Advice...
As an Event Planner what are some of your favorite trends happening right now?
My new favorite “trend” in the wedding industry is the commonality of elopements. Elopements have been around for quite some time, but now it has become more accepted and done locally. Specifically, I have noticed many Colorado based couples are choosing to elope locally rather than traveling out of the state or country. .
From an Event Planners point of view, what is some advice for people starting to book their vendors for whatever their event may be?
My best advice that I continually give is to really get to know your vendors! Try to get to know your vendors before booking them. Many people choose vendors based off of pricing or popularity alone, which isn’t always the best fit for you as a client. I think clients are usually better off by choosing vendors who they really connect with on a personal level.
